Emalea Hudgens-Toews, MHR, LPCPostdoctoral Therapist
Life can present a variety of challenging transitions and stressors, and having a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported can make all the difference. As a therapist, Emalea takes an eclectic approach, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities to help clients identify patterns, address challenges, and create meaningful change. She believes therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique needs and paced in a way that feels manageable, collaborative, and supportive.
Emalea's work focuses on helping clients better understand their relationships with others, their environment, and themselves. She strives to create a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic space that encourages self-reflection, personal growth, and lasting insight. With a background in rural mental health, she approaches treatment from a comprehensive and holistic perspective.
Emalea has extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and stress-related concerns, as well as a broad range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, and interpersonal concerns. Her work with individuals from diverse backgrounds has strengthened her appreciation for multicultural perspectives and the importance of culturally responsive care.
