About PHHW
We’re here because we believe in the power of healing and change. We’ve seen the possibilities that therapy opens up in the lives of our patients.
PHHW remains proudly owned, managed, and operated by its founders, Dr. Jennifer Bradford and Dr. Elizabeth Huber. At a time when many mental health practices are being acquired by private equity firms and large healthcare organizations, we remain intentionally independent. That independence allows us to make decisions based on what is best for our clients, our clinicians, and our community – not outside investors.
Preston Hollow Health & Wellness was founded in 2016 by Dr. Jennifer Bradford and Dr. Elizabeth Huber with a simple vision: to create the kind of therapy practice we would want our own friends and family to experience. We also believed that exceptional mental health care should be accessible to people from all walks of life—not just those who could afford private-pay therapy. From the beginning, accepting insurance and offering reduced-fee (sliding scale) appointments were easy decisions because we never wanted finances to become a barrier to receiving quality care.
We were passionate about supporting women through life’s most meaningful and challenging seasons—from anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns to infertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, career transitions, and the many identity shifts that accompany adulthood. More than anything, we wanted to build a practice where exceptional clinical care was matched by warmth, authenticity, and genuine human connection.
We opened our doors in a small office tucked into the quiet corner of Preston and Royal in North Dallas. While the space was modest, our vision was ambitious. We were intentional about every aspect of the practice—from the environment we created for clients to the clinicians we invited to join our team. We believed that a collaborative, supportive culture among therapists would naturally translate into better care for the people who trusted us with their stories. Just as importantly, we wanted to build a practice where people genuinely enjoyed coming to work each day—a place where colleagues celebrated one another’s milestones, gathered regularly outside the therapy room, and formed meaningful friendships alongside meaningful careers.
Over the next several years, our practice steadily grew. We expanded within our original building and launched our postdoctoral fellowship program, discovering along the way just how much we loved mentoring and training the next generation of psychologists. Teaching, consultation, and supervision quickly became defining parts of our identity.
In October 2019, our journey took an unexpected turn when the tornado that swept through North Dallas severely damaged our building. Overnight, we found ourselves without a home. The Dallas mental health community responded with incredible generosity, opening their doors and lending us office space while we searched for a temporary location. Most importantly, our clients showed extraordinary patience and grace as we navigated the transition together—a kindness we have never forgotten.
Just six months later, as the world entered the COVID-19 pandemic, we signed the lease for our current office on Walnut Hill. While the timing was certainly unexpected, the shutdown gave us the opportunity to thoughtfully design a space that reflected our values and allowed room for future growth. Like practices everywhere, we quickly adapted to providing therapy through telehealth while also reimagining supervision, consultation, and training in a virtual environment.
Those years reinforced something we had always believed: caring for clinicians is essential to caring for clients. During a time marked by uncertainty, isolation, illness, and profound loss, our consultation meetings became more than case discussions. They became spaces where our therapists could support one another, process their own experiences, and remain connected while continuing to provide exceptional care to those who needed it most.
As clients and clinicians gradually returned to the office in 2021, they stepped into a bright new home that reflected the collaborative, relationship-centered culture we had worked so hard to build. In the years that followed, we continued to expand both our clinical services and our training programs, adding practicum students and predoctoral interns alongside our postdoctoral fellows. We also created new opportunities for our experienced psychologists to serve as supervisors and mentors, strengthening the collaborative learning environment that has become one of PHHW’s defining characteristics. In early 2023, we welcomed our exceptional Practice Manager, Maria, whose dedication to both our clients and clinicians has been instrumental in supporting the practice’s continued growth.
Although we’ve grown considerably since 2016, we’ve worked hard to preserve the close-knit culture that shaped our earliest days. We regularly gather as a team to celebrate holidays and other life events because we believe relationships matter – not just with our clients, but with one another. That sense of connection has become one of the defining characteristics of PHHW and one of the reasons so many of our clinicians choose to build their careers here.
By the spring of 2025, we once again found ourselves outgrowing our space—a milestone we were grateful to reach. When the neighboring office suite became available, we expanded our footprint and completed renovations later that year, creating additional therapy offices, consultation areas, and dedicated spaces where our clinicians could connect, learn, and recharge between sessions.
Today, while our practice has grown far beyond those first few offices at Preston and Royal, our vision remains unchanged. We continue to grow thoughtfully rather than quickly, carefully selecting clinicians who share our values and our commitment to exceptional patient care. Every decision we make is guided by the culture we set out to create in 2016: one rooted in compassion, collaboration, lifelong learning, and the belief that when clinicians are supported, clients receive the very best care.
